Ideon Audio’s flagship Axiom DAC made its first appearance in Hong Kong and Asia at “The Axiom of Cosmo,” a special presentation hosted by Audio Exotics, one of Asia’s foremost high-end audio specialists. The event marked the beginning of a significant new collaboration, bringing the Axiom to an audience of dedicated music lovers and professional musicians.
Founded by Chris Leung in Hong Kong in 2009, Audio Exotics brings together exceptional audio engineering, bespoke system integration, and a profound commitment to music. With listening studios in Hong Kong and Singapore, it offers a distinctive environment where demanding listeners and professional musicians can explore the highest levels of musical reproduction.
Titled “The Axiom of Cosmo,” the presentation brought music lovers and professional musicians together at Audio Exotics’ Divin Lab for an immersive encounter with the Axiom. It followed the inauguration of Divin Research, Audio Exotics’ extraordinary new showroom, featuring a captivating live performance by Anders Hui and Zhao Yingna of the Hong Kong Philharmonic.
The listening sessions inspired responses that went beyond the familiar vocabulary of high-end audio. In a personal essay of more than 2,000 words following the event, Chris Leung explored the Axiom’s ability to reveal the relationships within music, the intention behind a musical gesture, and the emotional expression of the artist. As he wrote:
“The Axiom surpasses mere reproduction. It approaches interpretation of art.”
For Ideon Audio, this response represents a meaningful recognition of the years of research, experimentation, and uncompromising engineering behind the Axiom, created to convey the essence of a musical performance.
The collaboration with Audio Exotics establishes an important new destination for the Axiom in Asia, inviting listeners to discover its extraordinary capabilities in a setting dedicated to the deepest appreciation of music.
